"Challenges and Opportunities on the College Campus for our Jewish Community"

Enjoy a delicious breakfast with Brotherhood and learn about how college campuses are talking about Israel and anti-Semitism. Gilad Skolnick, guest speaker, is the Regional Director of Israeli American Council New England and comes with a breadth of knowledge. Prior to working at IAC, Gilad served as the Executive Director of Northeastern University Hillel and Director of Campus Programming at the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis (CAMERA). At CAMERA, Gilad oversaw the activism work of student leaders on campuses across the country. Gilad was born and raised in Kibbutz Kissufim in Southern Israel and moved to Newton, MA when he was 5 years old. Gilad's roots run deep in the Jewish-American community as he is a 5th generation American. Discussion topics will include: what students can expect to encounter on the college campus regarding Israel, anti-Semitism, and anti-Zionism; what it's like to be Jewish in college, and reflections from Gilad on his own college journey.
