Caring Connections
Caring Connections
(Updated December 21, 2022)
We are excited to get started again with Caring Connections after being more dormant during the pandemic. We want to let everyone know what this group is about and see who may be interested in getting involved.
Caring Connections is a group of Temple Beth David members committed to supporting synagogue families in times of need. We support one another in times of illness, injury, loss, isolation, and during other life-challenging situations, as well as in moments of celebration. The group works collaboratively with Rabbi Karen Citrin to coordinate efforts. Information shared by the Rabbi with committee members is held in confidence.
Example of assistance that we hope to provide are:
-
Friendly phone calls
-
Condolence cards or notes of congratulations
-
Visits at home or in the hospital in times of illness
-
Bereavement support
-
Mitzvah meals needed due to illness, loss, or the birth of a baby.
-
Transportation to Temple Beth David services and events (when possible).
Please contact committee co-chairs Howie Allen or Jackie Feuer if you are interested in participating in these meaningful volunteer opportunities.
