Sunday, April 11, 2021 29 Nisan 5781

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Please join us as we welcome Dr. Lee Pelton.  Dr. Pelton has spent the past ten years as President of Emerson College.  Many Boston area residents became aware of him this past summer when he penned an article for the Emerson community following the death of George Floyd, America is on Fire, that garnered 8 million views worldwide.  He will speak to us about “Racial Inequity in these Times.”  He has won numerous awards over his career, most recently the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Bostonian in 2020.  This summer, Dr. Pelton will leave Emerson and take over as President and CEO of The Boston Foundation.  TBF is Boston’s leading philanthropy with over $2.3 billion in grants provided to nonprofits since 1915. TBF’s leadership role in the region goes beyond philanthropy to encompass research and advocacy on a range of social issues from education to housing to employment opportunity to racial inequity. Please refer to the temple wide email that went out on Thursday, April 1 for the Zoom link and passcode. This event will also be presented via the temple's livestream link: https://www.templebethdavid.net/livestream.html#. Please email Leah with any questions.
