During Chanukah the letter "Nun" is one of the letters that appears on the dreidle. While in the dreidle game it means getting nothing, it really stands for "Nes" meaning miracle, as in "Nes gadol hayah sham - A great miracle happened there." Nun is also the first letter of the word "Ner," meaning candle or light.
