Hebrew Letter & Word of the Week
Kaf: כּ Kova (hat): כּוֹבַע Kippah (yarmulka): כּיפָּה
The Hebrew letter kaf makes the "k" sound (along with the letter kuf). When the kaf does not have a dot inside it, it makes the sound "ch". A kova is a regular kind of hat. We sing a song about Haman's kova on Purim. A kipah is a special kind of Jewish head covering that is a sign of respect and reminds us that God is around and above us.
