There is so much happening for Shorashim as we get into spring! We look forward to see you at the totally RAD 80's Purim celebration this Sunday. We're sending out this email early so you have all the details. Please note the special Purim schedule below (and move your clock forward Saturday night!) Come in costume!3rd-6th Grades should complete their spring elective choices this week. Congregational Retreat info is also included below - we hope you will join us for the day or overnight!

Our Purim celebration is open to the community, you are welcome to invite friends. In honor of 5780….it's back to the 80’s Purim Shpiel!
PURIM CELEBRATION & CARNIVAL! Sunday, March 8, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Please note special schedulein place of regular classes - at least one parent/caregiver must accomany children. Come in costume and get ready to hear the megillah and the Purim story as you've never heard it before. We will begin with the shpiel (Purim story and Megillah reading) at 10, followed by games, food, a jumpy house and prizes for all! All inclusive wrist bands will be available for purchase - $10 for TBD members, $15 for all others, $5 for kids under age 5. Cash only. Get ready to celebrate this joyful Jewish holiday!

Hebrew Home Practice for Grades 3-6
15-20 minutes a week of Hebrew practice is encouraged and will really help. Please check your folders.
Grade 3: Try the Aleph Bet Quest online program through lesson 15 - fun reading activities and Hebrew games, great reinforcement for classroom learning! - Practice Lesson 16, pg. 72 and 74 Grade 4 (Roberta & SAM): Practice reading and chanting V'ahavta. Listen to the recording below and try chanting along. Grade 5: Listen to the Gevurot recording below and chant along. Practice reading Kedusha out loud (Prayer Companion 2, page 26 all lines). Grade 6: Practice reading the Haftarah blessings (before and after).
