It was nice to return this week to Double Chai. We enjoyed a Chinese food dinner in honor of Sukkot (isn't Chinese food traditional for all Jewish holidays). Unfortunately due to the EEE threat alert we did not go into the sukkah, but the cooking elective made mini-sukkot. Looking forward to seeing everyone next week. We also want to especially invite you and your teens to celebrate Simchat Torah this Sunday, October 20 at 6:15 p.m. We invite teens who have become Bnai Mitzvah to help hold up the parchment of our fully unrolled Torah scroll. It is a wonderful celebration.

This year any Double Chai student can attend TELEM with out committing for the entire year. TELEM, our service learning program that works with residents at New Bridge on the Charles, is a wonderful opportunity for learning and doing good. It will take place from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. on 10 Sundays in the fall/winter. The schedule is below. Before each session we will ask for RSVP's to know who can attend.

NAWDTY - Youth Group
There will be a NAWDTY youth group meeting for teens 9th-12th grade, Sunday, October 27 from 11:30-12:30 p.m. Lunch, some fun, chill games, and planning for upcoming events including NAWDTY led Shabbat service on Nov. 1, Laser Tag on Nov. 16, and Shul-In/Chanukah Happening on December 14-15.
