Lunchtime Talmud continues this Thursday with the rabbis. Bring your lunch; texts provided. We are studying the first tractate, B'rachot (Blessings). All are welcome, beginners included!
PURIM IS COMING - Be Happy It's Adar!
In honor of 5780...
Celebrate Purim at Temple Beth David! Come in costume to the annual Purim Carnival THIS Sunday, March 8. Enjoy Purim songs, Shpiel (fun skit), and Megillah reading for all at 10:00 followed by the Carnival 11:00-1:00. Bring the children and enjoy pizza lunch & hamentaschen, games, crafts, and a jumpy house! A quiet, sensory-friendly room will also be available. All-inclusive game & activity wristband: $10 for TBD members, $15 for all others, $5 for kids under age 5. Cash only. Participate in a raffle to support NAWDTY! Please bring an unopened box of macaroni for donation.
Purim Learning for Teens & Adults Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00-8:00 pm Did you know that there are actually two celebrations associated with this festive holiday, Purim and Shushan Purim? Purim will be celebrated March 9 - March 10. Shushan Purim is for walled cities such as Jerusalem…and WESTWOOD (we have colonial stone walls here) and is celebrated March 10 - March 11. We invite teens and adults to gather for some fun as Shushan Purim comes to a close! Come in costume, enjoy good food and beverages, and friendly team competition as we study the Megillah through a textual scavenger hunt. Think of it as trivia meets American Ninja Warrior (don’t worry, these are Jewish stunts so it takes acrobatics of the mind!).
Are you an empty nester? Are you looking to reconnect with the temple or create new friendships? Then come join our new social club! Our first event will be on March 21 at 6:00 pm at The Lookout Taproom in South Natick. A cover band called Cramer Hill will be playing and there will be drinks and light food for purchase. Women's Chocolate Seder
Our Women's Seder which will be held on Sunday, March 22, 3:00-4:30 pm. This year will feature a special women's chocolate seder led by Rabbi Karen. A wonderful opportunity to spiritually prepare for Passover and connect with other women. Please RSVP here by March 9.
Gifts from the Heart Gala
The annual Gifts from the Heart Gala will be held at the temple on Saturday, March 28 from 7:30 to 10:30 pm. This event, open to all adult temple members, celebrates all temple volunteers and donors to the Gifts from the Heart Annual Campaign. Please RSVPhere. This year's theme is The Roaring Twenties. The event will feature a jazz ensemble, a signature cocktail, and a photo booth with relevant accessories, in addition to appetizers, desserts, and beverages. Brotherhood Breakfast
The next Brotherhood Breakfast will be on Sunday, March 29 at 9:30 am. The program will begin at 10:15 am and will feature a presentation of recognizing and responding to 21st Century Antisemitism. This program will be presented by Bob Soffer who teaches about Antisemitism in the Boston area. He is also a member of the Israel Advocacy Alliance. The cost of the breakfast is $10.00, except those that have already pre-paid. Everyone is welcome to come and attend the presentation at 10:15 am.
Brotherhood Escape Room
An Escape Room event is planned for Sunday, April 5 at 4:00 pm at the Puzzle Break in Newton. The Brotherhood has secured special pricing: the price of $29 per person includes the Escape Room puzzle and a pizza party afterwards. RSVP to Steve Brody or Mike Perna.

For the month of March, the work of Westwood Artists will be exhibited at the Westwood Library, 660 High St. Temple Beth David member Marilyn Brier will be showing her glass art. On Wed., March 4 at 5:30pm, there will be a reception with light refreshments and an opportunity to meet the artists and view their work.
The Masks We Wear: A Young Adult Mental Health Convening to Reduce Stigma and Shame

Register here How can we reduce stigma and shame around mental health issues in the Jewish community? How can we support young adults in our lives who are suffering silently? Temple Israel of Boston and the Riverway Project are proud to partner with the Ruderman Synagogue Inclusion Project as we welcome Joanne L. Harpel, President, Coping After Suicide and Rabbi Geoffrey A. Mitelman, Founding Director, Sinai of Synapses, who are national experts in this field, for an afternoon of conversation with young adults, parents, and interested community members. The program will feature Jewish learning about mental health, personal stories surrounding stigma, and conversations about how mental health issues show up in our personal and professional lives.

Family Table
FAMILY TABLE NEEDS YOUR HELP! While Passover does not begin until April 8, the next Family Table distribution (and the only one left before Passover) is on Sunday, March 8. Thus, we need your Matzah (or monetary) donations no later than March 7! Our goal is 70 boxes of matzah by March 7. Please leave matzah donations by the Family Table bins outside the sanctuary or in the school lobby. See Leah or Linda in the Temple office or contact Lynn Kaminski to make cash donations to the cause.As ever, your support of our neighbors in a holiday season is deeply appreciated!
