ELUL THOUGHT OF THE WEEK: Daily walk; With the dog. Up the street, by the pond, new path leading to the parking lot of my synagogue. An empty, silent parking lot An even emptier building As COVID wraps itself around it all – like a massive spider’s web Hard to see but capturing the unsuspecting. But this morning was different. The sound of children’s voices. Sunday school outside I stayed on the sidewalk. Suddenly as I was walking The Sound of the Shofar. I stopped; frozen in place. There it was again. T’kiah G’dolah. - By Temple Member Connie Rizoli, Elul 5780/2020
