Menorah Lighting at Wegmans in Westwood Thursday, December 2 at 5:45 pm
Once gain, Rabbi Karen and Rabbi Micah will lead a menorah lighting for the community at University Station. This year will feature an amazing ice menorah carving, lighting, music, and treats. Please join us for this brief outdoor Chanukah celebration!
Shabbat Evening & Chanukah Service Friday, December 3 at 6:30 pm
A lively, musical service! We are delighted that pianist Michael McLaughlin will join us. All ages welcome. Those who are eligible must be vaccinated. Zoom and Livestream will also be available. Take home Chanukah treat!
Hanukkah Happening Sunday, December 5, 9:30-11:30 am
For Shorashim religious school students and Shalom Corner families. Due to Covid, times will be pre-assigned and staggered. Although it will look a little different, it will be a fun celebration for all. Chanukah crafts, music, and treats. Thank you to our NAWDTY youth group for helping!

Ways You Can Do Good
Afghan Resettlement
Consider participating in the temple community's efforts to help relocate and integrate a family of Afghan evacuees to the Westwood area. The most immediate need is monetary donations. Thank you for joining this effort of Tikkun Olam (repairing our world).
Inaugural Animal Welfare Special Interest Group Meeting
Stemming from the What Do I Care About (WDICA) effort, a group of members interested in Animal Welfare will have its first meeting on November 30 at 7:00 pm via Zoom. The goal is to form as a special interest group or havurah and eventually do some activities together related to Animal Welfare. All are welcome to attend, even if you didn’t sign up in the WDICA survey. Zoom link
JF&CS Family Table Donations
Please drop donations of whole grain pasta and canned salmon in the bins in the lobby. Jewish Family and Children’s Services is appreciative of the donations made to their food pantry by the Temple community. Family Table also has a wish list on Amazon here. Sisterhood Diaper Drive
The Sisterhood is sponsoring a diaper drive beginning November 29. We are assisted in this drive by Anna Small, a recent Bat Mitzvah who has made the diaper drive her mitzvah project. Why a diaper drive? During the pandemic, families have had a difficult time affording diapers. We are doing this drive to benefit 2 agencies: Self Help, Inc and A Place to Turn. Especially needed are: sizes 3,4,5,6, pull-ups, and wipes. Please donate only unopened packages. There will be a bin placed in the coat closet across from the office.
Sisterhood Maccabee Swap
Sisterhoods always popular Maccabee Swap is scheduled for Thursday, December 2 at 7:00 pm. We’ll meet in person at the temple. Gifts should be in the $20-$25 range. More details and RSVP will follow.

When you purchase your MJ cards though the TBD Sisterhood, the National Mah Jongg League makes a donation back to us. The Rashi School Middle School Open House Wednesday, December 8 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm
Rashi is a Reform Jewish K-8 Independent School located in Dedham and is hosting an in-person Open House focused on Grades 6-8. Learn from school leadership, faculty, students, and alumni about Rashi’s excellent academics, emphasis on social justice, and care for the whole person—all through a Jewish lens.
